Hi.

Weird, but I didn't find anything in this forum about subject topic ... ?!

Is it possible to configure iPhone in such a way, that I get a visual confirmation when messages were delivered (i.e. seen on recipient's phone)? This is a feature implemented in more or less every mobile phone nowadays, but apparently not in iPhone.

This feature is provided by your carrier. You don't say what your carrier is but O2 provide this service. If you type *0# before the SMS they will provide a delivery report.

I live in Belgium and my carrier is Proximus. I know that putting R in front of a text message will give me a delivery report. But i would love to have this implemented in the Iphone. I was told that "third party" applications exist, but they require the Iphone to be jailbroken. And i really do not want to do this.
Is there any chance that these receipts or delivery reports will ever be available for Iphone also? This is not just a gimmick, this can be very serious stuff when using the Iphone in a professional way in my opinion.

Yes, professionals use texts .... just not seriously.

Somehow methinks you exaggerate the need - 10 million iPhone users and nobody has suffered 'professionally' 😉
