How do I add a Group to Contacts?

Hi all,

How do I add a new group to my contacts in the iPhone? All I can see for groups is 'All Contacts' and I can't see an icon allowing me to add a new group. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Your going to have to create the new group in you address book on your computer. It will than appear in your iphone at the next sync. Create whatever groups you want and than you can use them when creating contacts.

Hello Robert and wjosten!

Robert - thank you for that input. I'll definitely try it this evening when I return home.

wjosten - I'm currently running 10.5.?, not Snow Leppard yet. As far as contact application, I'm only using the included software both on my iMac (2008 purchase) and my iPhone 3GS. Is that what you were asking?

Also, to both: I am looking for an alternative way to keep track of my sales customers seperately from my main Contacts (I don't want to confuse myself). I was looking into the app, Contacts Journal, but noticed it adds the contact to my main Contacts list which is something I don't want. Any ideas on a direction for this?

In Address Book on your Mac, File>New Group...call it what you want. Then drag the contacts you want into that "new" group. From there, in itunes select what groups/group you want to sync to your phone.
