File name changes on Quicktime Export

Hello. I have just exported a quicktime movie as a Quicktime current setting export and when it is finished FCP has renamed the file from CANDACE AND DON FINAL to
CANDACE AND DON FINA#33740F.mov The movie plays back just fine, but when using compressor it failed with an error. I am guessing the QT file is corrupt? Has anyone else experienced this? Or know why it is happening? Thanks, Jeremy

Power Mac G5 2.5Ghz, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

happened to me also. Are you exporting a reference .mov or a self contained?

Update to post. I just experienced the same problem on a different computer. I am editing in
HD 1440x1080
23.98
HDV 1080p24

I have been editing using the these setting for a couple years now without any problems, it seems to be getting worst with the newer updates and FCP versions?

I have tried the Apple Pro Res(HQ) with horrible results. My project would keep crashing. Plus the file sizes are so big, the space needed is a little ridiculous.

self-contained. What are your sequence settings?

I am re-exporting the movie now. It is a little over 60 minutes so it's gonna take a while to find out...

I renamed the exported self-contained movie, and am running it though compressor again to see if it works with a different file name?

make it a reference .mov by unchecking the self contained box. then run that through compressor.
I still get that trouble when export my sequences using compressor... everything hangs then it crashes. So i just stick to using reference .mov.

I have always associated this problem with really long file names and really long renders.

And then I would just rename the file and move on. The files were not corrupted.

LOL.
