Q: Effective De-Noise/Speckle in Shake?
Hi Shake-sperts,
I'm working on a green screen composition in Shake 4.1 and have a query regarding noise.
Due to what could be down to poor lighting, I've noticed some slight 'blocky' noise, especially in darker areas (ie. Subject's black shirt).
Is there an effective way to smooth out such noise in Shake? A de-noiser/speckler perhaps? I contemplated performing a rough roto around the areas in question, and then applying a subtle blur within the roto. If possible, I could do without the keyframing though
Any tips & advice much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

If it's just in the darker areas, you could do an inverted lumakey to create the mask,
then apply a blur.
Another approach is to use an inverted edge detect to create the mask.
The idea there is to avoid blurring the areas of detail.
And you can always try this macro:
