Alarms & Vibrate mode.

Is there a way to set an alarm to only vibrate when the vibrate switch is on? Rather embarrassing watching a movie in a movie theater only to have a car horn go off. I know I could disable the alarm for the time being but I still need to be informed of what it's for. The vibrate switch is there for a reason and there's no real reason the alarm (at least by default) should continue to use the ringer when your phone is set to vibrate only.

For the number of posts like yours, there are posts the other way around of users that use phone for alarm clock to wake up. And they set to silent to avoid calls or txts in the night but need the alarm to still go off.

If there was something you needed to remember and not really need an alarm for, use the calendar instead. Same setup, but it doesn't ignore the silent switch.

I put the phone ringer on vibrate mode using the switch on the left side of the phone. Then I set the alarm to a sound (a harp) from the list in the alarm settings. After I go back to the home screen, I reduce the volume with the buttons on the left side of the phone to 1 level (1 box). When the alarm sounds, I only get the vibrate. Hope this helps!
