chatroulette and firewire

Anyone able to use a firewire video cam with chatroulette? My Canon GL2 works fine with iChat. I'm guessing Chatroulette, working through a web browser, simply doesn't work with my Canon FW camera. There is a setting in Chatroulette for Firewire cams but selecting it doesn't help, nor does booting with my camera on and connected - with it as only Firewire device. I have no firewall setup. I do have an Apple router. (Airport Extreme)

I'm using a Mac Pro Early 2008 10.6.3 with an iSight camera. We used chatroulette a couple times to stream my parties. Used to work fine, now I continually get an error message citing that "to play the game I need to enable a camera"

I see the feedback from the iSight just fine on the chatroulette website, the camera shows up as FIREWIRE EVO or something like that.

But no mater how many times I restart, reset Safari, re-plug in the isight, I now always get this error. Been meaning to troubleshoot, might have time this weekend. Will post back with findings.

Might be worth trying to reinstall flash prolly.

I believe the issue is with Flash.
I have an external iSight on my G5 that I've used in the past with chatroulette, but all
that's changed is that Flash has been updated (though version 9 on another drive doesn't work
either). My camera works fine with iChat and I can see myself, but I keep getting that message
about "enable the camera" for the other person's screen on chatroulette.

I useD chatroulette one time successfully....that was before Flash 10.
I have a G5 PowerPC tower with an external isight camera.

I show up fine at chatroulette.com. Black screen for the other folks. I set the camera to firewire and when I click the plus in the screen I get that annoying message to "enable my camera" which is obviously enabled or I wouldn't have shown up myself. I went to the sharing prefs and turned most everything on...no firewall. (It would be nice if Apple had provided some software to control the camera).

I still haven't solved this issue and it's making me nuts.
