iPhone/iPod - Processing internal audio stream (whatever audio is playing )

Hi Guys,

I think this is probably not possible but is it possible to write an app that can process any playing audio from the iPod app, for example to add reverb?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi KT,

Sorry for being a bit slow here, but are you saying:

1. the iPod app on the iPhone can act as a host for AUFX components.

Or

2. You can write an app that can intercept the system audio output and use this in a AUGraph with AUFX plugins to modify the audio.

Or

3. Something completely different.
