Any good CPU upgrades for PowerMac G4 Gigabit Ethernet?

i want to know if i can easily upgrade a PowerMac G4 Gigabit Ethernet's CPU.

i'm mainly looking for a Dual-Processor upgrade. i've read that supposedly the Motorola XPC107 “Grackle” PCI/Memory controller won't allow no higher clock speed than 500MHz but i don't know if that is really true.

any answers?

Well, a dual will cost way more then the Mac is worth.

I got mine, for my Dual 450MHz Gigabit, here. Even a single is worth more then you can get selling the Gigabit.

I got a single 1GHz as I still like the machine and it has been trouble free for 10 years (thanks to helpers here!).

I have been using a Sonnet 1.4 Ghz for many years with no problems. http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/index.html has great reviews that I consult prior to any upgrades.
