imap Gmail not receiving mail in Inbox. Since 2 days no gmail coming in.

Only on my Power Mac G5 is there no mail coming in. What is going on? This $4k G5 is a disaster constantly. I am having to always throw out .plist in ical, and address book. Now no mail is showing up in Gmail inbox, but only on this computer. All settings are correct. What to do?

G5, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

if your SURE all setting are correct, then you can either delete the acct and readd it or pull the mail plist and set it back up.

That did not work unfortunately. It started from scratch, I entered settings and no mail came in, so i restored the old .plist
Any other ideas? This is insane that i can't get mail on a 4 month old $4k PowerMac G5.
I am beyond frustrated.

I share your frustration, but I'm not sure how the price of the computer has anything to do with what appears to be a Gmail issue.

Do you use Apple Mail with other accounts? Are they working fine; i.e., is Gmail the only service with which you're experiencing a problem?

Price was part of my venting process 🙂
My Apple mail works perfectly with my other road runner account. Gmail works perfectly on iphone and airbook.

when you set gmail back up did you set it up as an imap or did you accidentally set it up as a pop acct? cause as long as theres mail on gmail and its an imap mail should come in.
