Just remember to follow the well posted rules in this forum before updating (mac a backup, do a safe boot, repair permissions, etc..)

Wonderful, Now I assume that mac a backup means make a backup :;

But as to the other, can you point us to the 'well posted rules' you refer to? As well posted rules, I've looked for 15 minutes and can't find them.

There are always problems that other people encounter. Just like every other OS X update released this one will be declared to be the "worst ever" by someone. This forum will be filled with "this update killed my computer" and "doesn't Apple test anything" posts. It's part of the process. Then the issues will be sorted out and found to be mostly user error or misunderstanding, failure to properly prepare for the update, and application of the update over an already unstable system. It happens every time. It's rare that a universally show-stopping bug that affects all users gets out. Very rare.

it has successfully killed vlc once so I had to force quit and my eyes are broken since I think there is a yellow tone on my screen now. Thats not possible so ill go to sleep and hope im better tomorrow

edit:
black video on the aperture 3 video "Bill Frakes: Completing the story" so now I wonder what is going on...

Edit again:
pretty much all video on apple site is dead if using Chrome (at least for me) lol. Embarrassing

Edit: ty the color profile thingy helped a bit I think... even the cat looks yellow now so I cannot tell. Fresh eyes tomorrow will do it hopefully 🙂
