Delete web page aded to home screen

Fron safari I have added a web page to my home screen. How do I delete it. I have tried through iTunes and the phone.

Quad 2.6, Windows Vista

Touch and hold the screen icon until the icons begin to wiggle. Tap the circled x at the top left of the icon. Press the Home button when finished.

Hold down an icon until they all wiggle, then hit the "x" in the corner.
