Button Send & Archive

Hello,

in Google Mail is great feature "Send and Archive". Is there any possibility (maybe some plug-in) to have this feature also in Mail.app?

Thanks;)

yes, I know it's pretty much archived. Not sure whether you know or don't GMail system. There is Inbox folder, where are all messages you receive. There is also Send folder, where are stored outgoing messages. And there is also All Mail folder where are messages, you don't need to see in Inbox. For example - you receive mail (not so important), so answer the mail and you don't want to see it anymore, but want to store it. So you move it to All Mail folder (Archive). It means that the message is stored, when you use search, it also search for this message, but you don't see it in Inbox. The same is for sent messages. When you send it and click Send & Archive, it send the message and store it in All Mail folder. This is useful, when you're receiving hundreds of mails every day...

Ok, if you never want to see what is in sent mail, don't look there. Or, maybe I'm missing what it is archiving. Do you mean it archives the message you responded to? I'll have to think about that a while. I know there is no function, but maybe I can think of another option.

I tend to use the Unread smart mailbox similarly. As Mail comes in, I view it in Unread. I handle it and delete what I don't want, leave what I do. You can use This Week and Last Week similarly. You could make a Today and Yesterday, also.

I periodically go back and clean up the inbox, but that wouldn't be necessary.

So there is the thing - some mails you receive are not important. You just answer them and don't need to see them again (both inbox and send). So in GMail, you click send and archive. The mail goes to archive and you normally don't see it (but it is stored).
But there are also important mails, which you know, you might need them in next, let's say, one or two weeks will need to use (check) again. So you don't archive them.

Now it seems like I can send the message and move it to the archive folder afterwards, but I'm receiving hundreds of mails every day and it is so slow to manage each mail.
