Slow Boot After 10.6.3

After installing 10.6.3 I am seeing a 3+ minute boot time on my MacBook Pro (2007) (I have it set to not require a password at boot).

Anyone know a reason why this would be happening?

I tried removing all Login Items and it's still extremely slow compared to before. I tried rebooting about 7 times now and it's always the same ... 3+ minutes. I see a light blue screen for about 1.5 of those 3+ minutes.

Compared to before this is very slow as it used to boot in about 1+ minute.

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.6.2), 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Have you repaired permissions on the hard drive? How full is the hard drive?

id poss try giving your caches a delete too......

theres too, one in your your root drive/library delete the caches folder
and one in your home folder/library delete the caches folder.

reboot, and then empty trash

Yes I had repaired the permissions. Still slow.
There's 19 GB free on the hard disk out of max of 160 GB.

deleting the caches seems to have done the trick. Back to 1 min 40 second until the desktop is usable.
Is this normal?

I have had the same problem and nothing suggested here works. I've already had my hard drive and ram replaced in the last couple weeks. everything finally started working smoothly, and now this. ugh. any other suggestions?
