How can I make my Windows side recognize my external Macbook Air Superdrive

So I updated my Mac to Snow Leopard but I'm having a slight problem. Previously my Windows side did not have problems recognizing the Macbook Air Superdrive but now, each time that I switch to the PC side, the drive stops functioning completely. Is there a way that I can somehow format the drive/make it run on the PC side?

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Macbook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.2), Snow Leopard
