when I try to change the replaced word to something that is formatted, it won't let me. Does anyone have any ideas?
Autocorrect will not work with things like superscripts and subscripts from the format menu. You have to use the Unicode characters. These are found in Character Viewer (Edit > Special Characters), View = Roman, Category = Digits (toward bottom of list).
PS You also need to type a space after your input for autocorrect to work.
Hm. That's surprising amount of work to get that to running. At least there's a solution. Thank you very much for the help. Not being able to do this would have been a deal breaker. I'm already having to use Excel because Numbers literally cannot open some of the files I'm using because of their size.
