How do i erase or over write a dvd+R disc or a dvd-R disc

Aloha again how do you erase a dvd+R disc or dvd- R disc on my computer I tried ominsweeper no dice. I tried moving to the trash no dice. and I tried to copy to it and still no dice. SO do they make an eraser drive or software to unburn or delete or wipe for Mac..? helpless in paradise....

If it is a dvd-r or dvd+r you can't erase it.
They are write once disks.
If it is a dvd+RW or dvd-RW you can erase
it using disk utility (found in your applications/utilities
folder)

Aloha all

I was wondering if there is any product that allows connecting the digital cable box or just the coax cable itself to the mac. The idea is to get only one screen. The 30" hd cinema display. So I can do the computing on it and then switching to cable on the same screen via some software and or hardware. One day this will be the norm. No need for two screens in the house every thing on one screen. There has to be a way......????????? any ideas
