Cannot connect to iTunes Store - Make sure your network connection is activ
I just upgraded to iTunes 9.1 on a MacBook running OS 10.5.8 and can no longer connect to the store. Software Update shows no available updates and I'm at a loss. I tried the method suggested earlier involving changing the parental control options and then changing them back to no avail. Any other suggestions? Not sure what other info to provide, but I'll gladly provide what I can.

I have exactly the same problem with my 10.6.3 MBP. Everything was fine before upgrading to itunes 9.1. Now I can't get to the itunes store at all. Nothing else was changed on my system.
When I try to get to the store from www.apple.com/itunes/downloada and then click on the Buy Music at the bottom right, I get the failure to connect and then a 11222 error that says there is an error with the itunes store and to try again later.
I also have the exact same issue. The 9.1 update showed up last night so I set it into motion as I went to bed. Today, NADA… Uninstall & Reinstall did not help. My iTouch updates just fine through the Wi-Fi connection but my PC with Win7 say’s to check my connection… BUMMER!!!
Same here. Upgraded to 10.6.3, then iTunes 9.1 the next day. Ever since, I've been unable to connect to the iTunes store with my MacBook pro. iPhone connects just fine though.

I can't connect either since upgrading to 9.1. I'm running XP and everything was fine before. I've tried all the suggestions on the Apple support site to no avail. The diagnostic test says that it can connect to the itunes store, but when I try to open the store it tells me it could not connect and to make sure my network connection is active.
I have the problem also. Running Windows XP and iTunes 9.1. Problem started after update to 9.1. Diagnostics show successful connections. But click on store and "Cannot connect to iTunes Store..." comes up without it even trying to connect.
