I'm writing about my old iBook G4, which is running 10.4.11. No QuickTime movie will run well. Running Safari 4.0.5 and Quicktime 7.6.4.

Any thoughts?

iMac, MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Are you having troubles with streaming videos or with videos you've downloaded?

If streaming videos are causing the problem, there isn't much you can do.
Today's technology for streaming video maybe be outside the scope of what your computer can handle.

Yes, it's the streaming videos. So... you're saying we'll have to replace the old warhorse?

Some videos run fine. I think (but I'm not sure) it's the QT that's tough for her.

    bajoro,
You don't specify the CPU speed and the RAM that your iBook has. Generally speaking downloaded QuickTime movies will run better than streamed videos.
My son downloads torrents of his favorite TV shows and watches them on his eMac 1.25 GH 1.2 GB RAM with no problem.

As Richard mentioned, more specifics about your computer's hardware will be useful.

Could you name specific websites and/or post links here?
