anyone know how to claim warranty for my Iphone 3GS which is bring back from overseas. and i have tried to ask a lot of Apple Service Centre here but they only do claim warranty for Iphone which is purchased locally. Any suggestions??? TQ
They are correct - the Warranty is country specific so if you bought it overseas, it will not be handled in Malaysia. There is nothing you can do other than take it back where you bought it from next time you are there.
The warranty for ALL iphones is only valid in the country the iphone was originally purchased in, assuming of course that said phone was purchased from an official source. Your phone must be returned to Apple or whoever provides service in the country that it was originally purchased in.
You have to bring the iPhone back to the country of origin.
You can contact the original service provider, or if the country has an apple store you can take it back there to see about a warranty claim. You can check here to see who is responsible for the iPhone support:

I am afraid not - this was raised recently and there is no way to achieve this. Its one of the dangers of buying goods from Ebay. This normally gets asked when someone updates the phone and it locks to the original carrier and that cannot be identified unless you have the original box with a sticker on it.
