Do 3G iPad's Give Off The Same Radiation as Cell Phones?

I'm becoming a bit worried about the whole cell-phone radiation scare. I don't want to get into semantics about whether this is true or not, I just want to know:

Is the radiation given off by the 3G iPad the same as any old cell phone? If I'm loading up a website on my iPad, will it be giving off the same kind of radiation as making a phone call?

Also, can you turn 3G off and on, or is it always on?

Thanks!

The wireless signals sent and received by the 3G iPad will be of similar frequencies and intensities as the iPhone 3G. I'm guessing you'll be able to toggle the 3G feature on and off, but I don't know for certain.

As for the effect of this radiation, it is my personal assertion that there are essentially no negative health effects. (my personal assertion also happens to be an expert one, but I don't like to give arguments from authority - look up the research yourself)
