Audible books won't sync

Audible books won't sync

Audiobooks won't sync. The Audiobooks playlist is checked on the ipad sync screen. The audiobooks playlist on itunes shows multiple audible books but the ipad says no audiobooks.
I've synced, checked, unchecked, rechecked, multiple times.

Imac 2.4-24, MacMIni, Macbook Pro, Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

I have the opposite problem . . . ALL my audio books are synced, and I can't figure out how to UN-Sync them. I don't have them checked anywhere, but they are on my iPad, and I can't get them off!

My adiobooks playlist would not show up until I added one actual music mp3 song... I think is is a bug

I tried making a playlist and adding a song first, syncing, then adding the audiobooks. Nothing but the song shows up.

I tried that too. At least I know it isn't just me. I just downloaded Bite Me, too! I want to hear it! (Not that I can't listen on my Touch or my computer, but it's the principle of the thing.)

Ah well, I'm sure it'll be fixed soon!

I am having the same exact problem. I have dozens of audiobooks - I can't get any of them to show up as something I can sync over to the iPad. That makes me sad.

You are correct only the one song showed up in the audobook playlist, none of the audiobooks.

Need to go to the "Books" Tab from your iPad, Scroll down... to audiobooks, they hid this well. You can select individual books and or playlists.

Many thanks.
Why would they put it there? I thought I had gone through every corner of every sync tab and I never noticed the scroll bar in books.
And why is there an "audiobooks" playlist (at least on mine) that shows up to be clicked but won't work.
Bug, or at least the opposite of Apple's usual intuitive approach for most things.

I'm so glad someone figured this out. It was driving me crazy. I ended up having to manually manage music and drag all my books on to the device. Initially, I tried creating an audiobook playlist of my own, and that wouldn't even show up when i tried to sync the device. Very strange.

As an unrelated note, I'm (surprisingly) loving typing on this thing. It's much more error free than i ever thought it would be.

Thank you VERY much! I love my audibooks so was kind of bummed not to have them. I mostly listen to them while running (and the iPad is a bit cumbersome for that) but also in the car or after school while grading papers.

Thanks for the lead, but I still have an issue.

I sync audible books to both my iphone and ipad. I have some of them 'selected' and some not. Although I have "Sync all audio books" set in itunes for the Device ipad, it still only syncs the selected books.

Now I am feeling REALLY dumb, as I can't find the "Books" tab to which brianmw refers. There is an iBooks tab of course, but nothing to scroll to there. So please provide more detail on where this elusive tab resides. Many thanks in advance.
