DVD folder with red minus sign?

I'm a coach that shares game film with other coaches and received a DVD that pops up as a folder with a red minus sign on the desktop. usually i open the DVD and access the TS folder to rip the DVD and so i can edit the footage to show my players.

but when i open the folder, there's nothing in it. what do i do?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2), has a mouse

Does the DVD work on another computer? Sounds like you received either a blank or damaged DVD. Do you know what movie format it's suppose to be?

If the TS folder is empty, then there is nothing you can do because there is nothing there to burn or view for that matter.

it is burned and is playable just not rippable. the folder with the red minus sign i think has something to do with how it was burned- either it wasn't finalized or burned to not allow permissions. i'm not sure but the dvd is fine as far as content is concerned
