Setting calendar colors on iPad - colors conflicting with iCal and Exchange

I'm having a very annoying issue with my new iPad (my only gripe so far). I use my calendar extensively on my computer and I'm hooked up to my companies Exchange account. I like keeping my calendars separate using different colors for my personal appts and my work meetings. As most users do, I have my personal calendar set to blue (for example), a misc calendar set to green and then my work calendar set to red.

Now, my Mac based calendars sync via MobileMe and back down to my iPhone and iPad just fine in the same colors, but on my iPad it makes my Exchange calendar blue as well, so my two main calendars are the same. I cannot find any setting anywhere on the iPad to fix this.

I DO NOT have this problem on my iPhone for some reason, it sets my Exchange calendar red as would be expected.

Does anyone have any clue how to fix this? I would greatly appreciate any insight!

I have had the reverse problem - when I first synced my iPhone to the exchange the calendar was blue. Then after the big iPhone update- the first time it synced after that the calendar turned Red. I wanted Blue back! From what I understand from my posts like this under the iPhone category, it's not possible to pick the colors. I remember someone telling me I could set up "dummy calendars" and let them sync, then remove them until I got the color I wanted. That seemed like way too much work (and potentially risky given how important my calendar is) - and I've stayed with Red every since. Thanks, Anne

Nearly the same problem here, I went to the genius bar yesterday and was told this is a bug that they would report.

I have a birthday calendar on my mac and the only way to sync this over using MobileMe is to publish the calendar in iCal on the mac, send the subscription over to the iPad by mail and subscribe in the iPad by clicking on that link.

The new calendar is red on the mac and becomes blue on the iPad without a way to change it.

Let's hope the bug gets fixed quickly.

Just adding myself to the "me too" list here. On my iPhone my Exchange calendar comes in as Red (it's pinkish on iCal so this is close enough.) But on my iPad it comes in as blue which is the same color I use for my personal calendar. Very frustrating because nearly everything on my calendar is blue.

Sounds like it's a bug we have to wait for Apple to fix, but if anyone comes across a fix please let us know!

Hmm.
Whatever colors I assign to a calendar in iCal is what the iPad displays. I set my Exchange calendar to red, and it shows as red on the iPad.
Have you put your Exchange calendar in iCal? I have mine in iCal and set it to Red, even though the calendar itself is synced from my work Exchange server. Don't know how that magic voodoo synced the color from iCal and the contents from Exchange, but it works.

I only have an Exchange calendar on my iPad and it is blue. I want the meetings I accepted as maybe to appear different than the meetings I accepted as confirmed (like Outlook does). I never decline meetings as I still want to know they are happening, but on the iPad I can not easily see accepted vs. tentative meetings.

Any ideas on this one?
