symbols on iPad

symbols on iPad

Does anybody know how to make the ` symbol (its on the same key as the ~ on a normal apple keyboard) on an iPad? Its not on the regular keyboard obviously but its also not on the 123 keyboard or on the #+= keyboards. I pushed and held the regular apostrophe key and it gave me a couple options and none of those work either. Any ideas?

iMac 27" Intel Core i7, PowerBook Intel Core 2 Duo 15", Mac OS X (10.6.2)

I remember this has been a problem on the iphone and ipod touch (for passwords), but don't know whether it was ever fixed. If not, copy/paste from something else might be the only way. There are some apps that let you copy/paste any unicode character. ` is U+060 grave accent.

Copy and paste worked great! Not sure why I didn't think of that before. I just emailed myself the symbol and did the copy and paste on my iPad and it worked. Thanks for the quick reply!
