How do you put date in top time bar?

How do you put date in top time bar?

Hi, I would love to see the date displayed along with the time that's on the top of my iPad . Anyone know how to do this?
I can't find anyplace in the setting. Seems like a dumb oversight.

duel 2.5 GHz PPC g5, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

I noticed right away. It's nice to have the features and experience of an iPhone and that's why I got one. But there are a few things that bother me about it and hurt my productivity while using iPhone as opposed to android. This is one of them.

It may be available now, but it wasn't 7 years ago when the person started this thread, which was who you replied to. The date shows on the Calendar app's icon. If you'd like it at the top of the screen try using the feedback link provided

The only Calendar included is iCal, which is on the 1st home page, but could be moved to the dock at the bottom of the screen.

Weird. Mine shows the time in the top bar. Did you look at the settings menu?

My iPad has just the time In the top bar but want the date and month too like in my desktop.

Don't have one to play with yet but ..... first thing I'd try is tapping the time. Seems like that should yield day/date if anything's going to.

The day and date show on the unlock screen. Just the time on the home screen and app pages.

Too bad it should be on the bar so we can know it when typing mauls etc...

Tapping the time does nothing it looks like something apple needs to update .

I want the same thing - day date and time in the top time bar on the home screen. Can't find a way to do this in Settings. Seems like a(nother) big oversight by Apple.

I get the feeling Apple rushed the iPad to market without their usual very thorough 'thought of everything' from the user experience perspective.

I think Steve must've been back in the hospital instead of nurturing his along. Is this the shape of things to come, post Jobs?

I'd like the date at the top as well. Can't imagine it's a big deal to fix this.

How about using a Brother P-Touch and just sticking the current date on the top of your iPad each day. That'll do it! ;O)

Oh good, its not just me! I can't believe this oversight has not been fixed.

WOW! It's over 2 years later and Apple has STILL not added this functionality to the iPad or the iPhone. It's crazy. I can't tell you how many times I want to QUICKLY and EASILY know the day and date (in addition to the time) when working with my iPad or iPhone.

I've sent multiple feedback submissions to Apple about this.

Useless. I wonder how many million people have to request a functionality enhancement before they pay attention to it.
