Why won't apple allow the ipad to access video on dailymotion directly from the website. The dailymotion app search results are way inferior to the website.
Same thing with metacafe. My ipod touch can access the dailymotion website just fine.
Has apple blocked dailymotion etc because they want to force you to get the app?

I guess no one else read the part where he said "My ipod touch can access the dailymotion website just fine"

If you visit dailymotion.com on your desktop with safari it serves up the videos as Flash. But if you use the developer menu in Safari to change the user agent to iPod touch dailymotion switches to QuickTime video - FOUR thumbs up for dailymotion!

The problem is just that their site isn't recognizing the iPad user agent and not switching to QuickTime format, I'm sure they will get this fixed ASAP.

* Update - I just noticed openvideo.dailymotion.com

William.
