Received email won't wrap text & prints small.

I am using Mobile Me and Apple Mail client to handle all my email needs. I am having a frustrating issue in regards to the way certain emails are being displayed in my Apple mail. Some of the emails will not text wrap and the sentences run off the screen and requires to scroll to the right to view. Due to this issue, when I print the email the text and graphics are extremely small (so small the text point size is around 3 point).

I am thinking this is a bug in Mail due to the fact that I installed Thunderbird and the same emails that have text wrap issues in Apple Mail display great in Thunderbird and wrap fantastic. Finally, when I go to print the email out of Thunderbird it prints at the the full size and looks great.

In another test, I logged into Mobile Me via Safari (www.me.com) and viewed the email and it wrapped correctly and printed at full text size.

I finally loaded the Mobile Me account onto a different computer and the wrap issue in Apple Mail still existed (as well as he printing issues). Has anyone else witnessed these issues? Is there a fix?

Thanks,
Brent

To answer your question, when I go to View > Messages I have the following available to me.

Long Headers
Raw Source
Plain Text Alternative
Previous Alternative

So you know, when I change it to Plain Tex Alternative it does change the text and wraps it BUT it also adds double spacing and the table that was included now separates each column and changes it to a single line per column. Basically it is a mess. 🙂

Brent, you may have hinted at the issue here. Is the text-wrapping issue in ALL emails or just this one? You state this email has a table in it. If the table is wider than Mail's window size then text above and below the table will extend beyond the right edge of the window. In this case Mail is behaving normally.

In fact I just replicated what you are seeing by dragging the window resize handle (lower right corner) narrower than an email that contains an image and the text did indeed extend beyond the right edge of the now narrower window. So the rule is, if an email contains an image or table that is wider than the Mail window, then text above and below the image/table will extend beyond the right edge. Does that make sense?
