Q: SHAKE Quicktime uncompresed 10 bit 422 noise (even after the pro-update)

Hi Guys,

I'm running shake 4.1
when I render to a PAL Quicktime 10Bit uncompressed 422 codec I'm getting coloured noise. On other machines I solved this by installing the Pro-update.
On this system however It makes no difference.
How can I solve this?

I'm running Quicktime 7.6.6 and Quicktime 10.0

Kind regards,

Greg

Mac OS X (10.6.3)

When you do Get Info on the Shake application in Finder, it should say 4.1.1.

The get info function didn't give me a version number on this mac. However I found a sollution. I pasted the updated 'shake.app' from an other machine and it seems to render fine.

Yeah, that's funny. I got a refurbished MacBook Pro (Core 2 Duo) running 10.6.3.
Installed Shake 4.0 from the DVD, did Software Update, which updated Shake,
but it was bizarre because I couldn't use Get Info to ascertain the version number.

So I copied the application shake 4.1.1 from my other laptop, and it runs just fine.
    I fed a 16-bit node into a 10-bit ProRes 422 FileOut, imported into FCP 6.0.5:
    zero problems!
