Loved it Mads - great work, very professionally put together! Beautiful camera work and excellent use of iMovie's tools. Your choice of music really enhanced the overall feel of the movie too. I have a feeling you are a perfectionist - way to go! You might have the car manufacturers seeking your services once the word gets around!

There has been some criticism of iMovie '09 - mainly from traditional users of earlier versions (such as iMovie HD 6) - but your effort really demonstrates what can be achieved with a little ingenuity.

Keep up the good work - would love to see more further down the track!

one word - excellent!

aside photography, cars and music: clever usage of iM's built-in features & effects. smart integration of 'stills' within moving images. good choice of that 'washed out colors' effect.

critic? .. skip the last minute, concentrate on Danish car and wing-door car.. or much more cars 'n details.. I thought, car #3 is now a Ferrari with its beauty .. but then, movie ends to my surprise. ...-

btw: WOW fotos.. I love playing with DoF... FoD? .. I always mix that.. my new tiny toy, the FZ38 allows that too.. totally new gaame to play for me! (me no pro fotographer, just Daddy-does-movies).

375km/h? see you, behind the south border, on the Autobahn 😀 ...

ahh, and Welcome to the  iMovie boards!

PS: you should have post this in the iM09 section of this board; iMHD means in Apple lingo vers5.. you use 09 .. 😉

Your name is just SO Danish-like:-)

Thanks for the feedback! iMovie is just so easy to use:-) I very much like to do quite some postprocessing...which also can be seen in my photos ( http://www.madsdreier.dk)

Its DOF...Depth of field;-) Practice makes perfect you know....so keep it up! And remember....life starts about f/2.8;-)

Thank for for the welcome:-)

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah...I have noticed it myself:-) Pretty darn annoying;-)

BTW... this is my first ever video on iMac: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQWB4-9IkHQ

Its a wedding video...well...more a slideshow. At that time I did not have a computer powerfull enough to edit HD, so I only shot very little actual video. But when I got my iMac I made a slideshow in iMovie using the templates. I cant say it enough times: Bye bye pc!

Best regards

Very well done Mads! I enjoyed viewing that. I liked the way you slowed down the Theme transitions. In their default setting (2 seconds I think) they can be a bit quick, which is good for fast action videos, but much better slowed down as you have done for your wedding project. Your use of the Ken Burns effect was also very well implemented, in conjunction with the Theme transitions.

I like the style of your stills - they have a nice soft, almost dreamy look, and very pleasant colour tone - well suited to a wedding presentation. Sorry if my terminology is not in "technical" language, but I'm sure you understand my meaning! I'm just a hobbyist like you, but mainly into video. Having said that, maybe you should look at changing occupations - your work is very professional, including the photos on your website.

The music link you included at the end of the video will be very useful ( http://www.danosongs.com ). I looked it up - some nice stuff there. I appreciate there is a requirement for you to acknowledge your music source (under the "Creative Commons" arrangement), but thanks for showing it anyway. The song worked really well with the images. I find that is often the hardest part - locating and choosing suitable music, as it can have a real impact on the viewing experience.

Viewing your work has given me some inspiration Mads, so thank you for sharing with us!

John
