I am unable to retrieve my pictures from my iPhone because it does not appear in My Computer when plugged in. It shows up in iTunes and syncs just fine but that is all it does. I just recently restored it but still nothing. Any tips?
I tried to update to the latest version , but still not working~~ I know i m not the first people have this problem~~ can anyone teach me how to do???
If you have any corrupt files in the iPhone's Camera Roll the iPhone will not appear to the camera wizard or in My Computer. Usually these pictures came via MMS or email. So if you have any such pictures email them to another computer and delete them from the camera roll. This should fix the problem.
Do you want to say that WINDOWS does recognize this USB device but doesn't show an icon as a camera to let you do any operations in explorer?
I have the same issue. But my experience is like:
1. Do not plug your iPhone before Login to Windows successfully. You may connect iPhone to Windows after all the drives have been initiated.
2. Change to another USB port to connect.I could not say any reason, for my laptop, there are 2 USB ports, _one is never working with iPhone, but it can be connected with other USB device;_ _another is always working fine with iPhone..._
Just a suggestion, hope you can fix it. I don't think this is related to restore or update your firmware.
The iPhone is two different devices to Windows, a digital camera and an iPod. The digital camera should be recognized by Windows, and the iPod by iTunes. So it is not unusual for one to be recognized and the other not recognized.
you are god~~~ after i deleted some photo which i download from the web site~ I can find my iphone in "my computer" again~~~ thankssssssssssssssssssss a lot man~~~~~~ you are soooooo smart
i just fixed that problem , a new problem come out~~
Now i can find my iphone in "my computer" after i plug in, but i cant find my iphone on itune now~~~ anyone know how to fix it??
First, reboot your computer. Check basics; fir example, is AppleMobileDeviceService.exe running: Launch Task Manager, click on the Processes tab, then the Image Name column heading to sort the list and look for it. If it isn't there go to the Control Panel, Administrative Tools and launch Services. Find it in the list, right click the entry and start it.
I did all what u have been taught but I can not see AppleMobileDeviceService.exe is running under Task Manager then I went to Control Panel, Administrative Tools and launch Services. I can find it in the list but it showed already started. I also try for restart still not work.
I did sth yesterday do u think it would affect the problem?
..............................................................................
1. Plug in my iphone
2. Go to My Computer >> Manage and click Device Manager in the left tab.
3. Click Portable Devices >> Apple iPhone >> Uninstall
4. Unplug and plug your iPhone, now wait for windows to re-recognize your iphone and you will see it under my computer.
