Address field missing in Safari

I was going to copy and paste a web address into the address field, and in some moment of strangeness, grabbed the address field with my cursor and dragged it off to the left of the screen. I unclicked and expected the address bar to reappear in its proper location, but instead it has disappeared entirely. I can't find any information on this bizarre situation in the published help files, so I am hoping someone can help me.

I have tried resetting Safari and quitting and restarting it 2-3 times. However, the problem has not fixed itself and I am still lacking in an address field.
