Right to Left text - Persian/Farsi

As excited I am about my new MBP, writing on it has been a major let down.
I migrated over from Ubuntu and Windows.
I have dire need for Persian/Farsi - Right to Left writing on my Mac.
After installing MS Office 08 and finding out it doesn't support right to left encoding on Mac, i downloaded a trial version of iWorks. Here at least my words look right, but still I get no proper right to left text. I CAN align text to the right side of the page, but doing that causes the cursor ONLY to be visible at the far right of the text, without showing me what I'm doing.

Any way to solve this? In other programmes I don't have this problems and on Google Docs I get proper Right to Left encoding. Any ways to get it right in Pages?

No. iWork apps and iWeb have various bugs with RTL scripts that makes them unsuitable for most people. You need to use something else. Mellel is the best, but TextEdit, Nisus Writer, and OpenOffice also work.

One bug possibly important for Farsi is that you cannot input ZWJ or ZWNJ in Pages.

OO 3.2, with Geeza pro, and it doesn't work.

Could you email me a screenshot of it not working (tom at bluesky dot org)? What's the problem -- disconnected letters, editing glitches, or formatting errors?

I would need a HTML editor as well, Adobe Dreamweaver doesn't work with RTL...

Wouldn't that be included in the Adobe ME CS4 version I gave the link for in the note earlier?

Here is a list of web editors. iWeb I know for sure is no good for this, but have not tried the rest.
