Deleting videos from iPad w/o iTunes?

Is there any way to delete videos from the iPad without having to connect to iTunes and do it there?

When you are in the video app, select the video you want to delete. On the next screen, slide your finger across the video title and the delete button will appear. Just press the button.

Mine does not seem to work that way. On mine, I go to the video browser and press and hold. An X appears in the top left, which when selected deletes the video.
