iPad remote control for Keynote?

Me too been waiting for a year!

Ok there are apps on the store to allow your iPhone to change slides on keynote iPad. Problem is they need a wifi network. So get an old wifi router and create one! Presto, remote presentation. It's easier than you think to plug in a router and keep it in the case with the projector.

Can you point out some of those apps, please? All I seem to be able to find are apps that remote-control a Mac or PC. I can't seem to find an iPhone app that actually controls Keynote on the iPad. Thanks.

Try 'Keynote Remote'. Should also be able to set up your iPhone as a WiFi hotspot.

Keynote remote doesn't control Keynote on the iPad.

What equipment do I need to run keynote wireless from my ipad2 to a LCD projector? I want to carry and control the presentation wireless from the iPad2 from about 20 feet away. Will Apple TV work if I connect it to the projector and control it from the iPad2? Any recommendations. Thanks

I too am a professional speaker/artist looking to avoid lugging heavier equipment with me to presentations -- and to use my iPad instead. Need a means to control Keynote remotely w iPad.

Same issue - need a bluetooth remote using a ipad2 via keynote. Not sure why Apple would not engineer this into the initial design since there's one for iphone, ipod, etc. And, none of my other remotes on it either.

Here here! I too am looking for a solution for this.

It was my hope to use the iPad to run Keynote for a photography workshop I teach. The iPad is attached to a digital projector. I'm looking for a way to control the advance of frames from Keynote with my iPod touch.

Having this available would enable me to stand away from the iPad/projector combination and advance the presentation via iPod Touch.

As it is now, I have to hold the iPad which is connected with a cord attached to the projector. My mobility is very limited with this setup.

Is there any solution that will allow me to do this? It seems like such a simple task, yet I'm scratching my head as to why this particular app doesn't exist yet.

I'd gladly pay $4.99 for this feature!

Just now. works great on my older InFocus projector - still can't get the iPhone keynote to interface ... but thus far looks pretty easy to present your pwrpts to the class; albeit carrying around the ipad2 and tapping it OR figuring out how to operate via remote

the touch and hold laser pointer is sweet!

I now have Keynote for iPad and have ordered a mini bluetooth keyboard

Don't get your hopes up too high. Just tested it again with the Apple Bluetooth keyboard: When in presentation mode, only the brightness and sound keys cause any reaction. Everything else is ignored - you can't even end a presentation with the ESC key.

Looking through other discussions, I thought this might be the case. At least the Bluetooth keyboard might be handy for controlling an iMac from the lounge chair
