Sound and Metering disappears after edits are made.

I recently got a software update for Logic, and since then a new project i started has been acting very strangely.

I play my material and whilst playing, if i move a region or change automation, the sound and metering disappears.

I have checked I/O and audio setups.

This issue also only started happening while had already made some progress on the project.

Any other news of this with the new update??

My project contains instrument tracks, audio tracks and midi tracks and some automation.

When I make a change to any of the regions in the arrange window....move, copy or delete a region (not editing the regions content), or add or change automation, the sound drops out, and no levels on the meters can be seen.... but the playhead keeps moving.

Now..... If I add new regions, this new content (midi or audio) can be heard and will be metered, but still none the other regions will be heard.

If i now cut/delete ALL of my regions and then paste/undo the action, ALL of my regions will now be heard again (and metered).

Yet, attempting to now make another change to any region will result in sound dropping out again.

Does this help?

What on earth is going on??
