I have tried everything I can think of to get iTunes to install properly. After a completely clean install I still receive an error message on launch that reads, "This version of iTunes has not been correctly localized for this language. Please run the English version." Any ideas?! Thanks in advance for the help.

found this in another thread:

So, I spent almost an hour on the phone with Apple who was also dumbfounded about this occurance. so finally 5 minutes ago, the guy said:

GO TO YOUR [HOME FOLDER]
CLICK [LIBRARY]
& DRAG THE [[CACHES}} FOLDER TO THE TRASH.

now try to open itunes

here is another thread (the OP is on 10.6, though): http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2151088&tstart=0.
