Connect Samsung Intensity Phone to MaBook Pro via USB?
Last year I got the Samsung Intensity cell phone (pretty basic phone but gets the job done). It came with a USB cord to connect to a PC, and I was wondering if there was any way to connect it to a MacBook Pro. When I try to plug it into my laptop, it just says that it's "connecting to PC" but then never connects. System Preferences does pop up and asks me if I want to create a new network configuration, but I don't know how I would go about setting that up (or if it would even work). My guess is that the phone's software only allows it to connect to a PC, but I figured I would try here to see if there's a work-around. Thank you for any ideas!

Mac OS X (10.4.11),
4GB SDRAM
Already tried it, with no luck. Figured there was something I could do on my laptop (i.e. tinker with network preferences, or elsewhere), hence the posting here.
Can this phone be synced with music from a Mac? Image capture launches which is fine (don't really care about that) but there seems to be no ability to add music from a Mac to it. Am I right?
The network preferences thing seems to me to be for wireless internet tethering for laptops. Cool but not useful for me ;{
Still no luck. From everything I've read, it's not possible on Samsung's end (meaning by tinkering with the phone) to sync the phone with a Mac in any way. iPhoto opens when I Plug it into my laptop, but that's it - I can't actually import any pictures, the phone doesn't show up as, for instance, a removable disc. iTunes does not open up. I was hoping there's something I could do on my laptop that would allow it to read the phone...but it's seeming like it's a lost cause.
