How can you rotate all the pages of a PDF file in Preview?

1) make sure the sidebar which shows thumbnails of all the pages is open.
2) Click on one of the pages in the sidebar and then use "command A", or simply select all pages you wish to rotate in the right hand bar manually
3)Now use either the rotate commands in the menu bar, the rotate command in the toolbar, or the keyboard rotate commands.

(If you use 'select all" while the focus is on the body of the document then only the page that you were viewing will rotate. If you use it while focused on the sidebar, then all pages will rotate).

Preview has changed a fair bit with 10.6.2, sig.

Using Preview 4 it used to ask (and there was also a "rotate all" option in the "Tools" menu, from memory), but now, under Preview 5, you need to follow the selection process mentioned here.

There are quite a number of other related "workflow" changes too, with respect to things like combining pages into a single document (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4075), electing text within columns, scanning into preview, improved screen shot capability, etc.

Most of them are really quite useful improvements. Not quite so sure about the rotation approach, though.

command-r or command-l

SELECT ALL PAGES first, then do the rotate command. Save.
(CMD + A) (CMD + R) (CMD + S)
Done.

If you try my suggestion it will ask you whether you want one or all.

I see. Waiting for some application updates before venturing into 10.6.
