Hello: May be a lost cause, thought I'd ask anyway before talking to someone from the Genius Bar. My MacbookPro took a very a very slight tumble rending the screen lid a little out of place. You can tell it's not aligned by a slight glitch when you close the lid, or look at from the back: the black strip is minutely off kilter on the left hand side. While everything works find, I wonder if the lid can be readjusted. I tried to do manually, but nothing budges. Any thoughts would be welcomed.
Thanks
I would never give advice to someone telling them it's OK to push, twist or force a lid back into place even if I had done it successfully. Take it to an Apple store or AASP.
My guess is that you bent something in the hinge assembly. Unfortunately, the hinge assembly is glued to the screen and can't be replaced without replacing the screen as well.
If you want to try and fix it yourself, go to iFixIt.com for parts and take-a-part instructions.
