TOP RIGHT BUTTON ON iPHONE WON'T WORK

Hello...thanks in advance for any responses.

My top right button on my phone will not work. I press it...and nothing. I basically have to use the Home button to access Apps, etc etc.

Any suggestions on how to fix this besides taking this to the Apple store? (which is an option, but I just wanted to check here first)

All I can suggest is the standard troubleshooting steps in order.

Restart your phone: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Reset your phone: Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
