iPhone 3GS Stopped Working... Won't Turn On !!!

Hi Guys

My iPhone 3GS was working fine for the last three months and all of a sudden stopped working this morning. While trying to open a web page on Safari it died. Unable to turn on or off. Screen is blank and if I try to turn it on the Apple symbol comes on for less than a minute and the screen goes blank again. Tried connecting to iTunes and no luck. My computer wont even recognise the iPhone.

I left it to charge on the mains charger for a few hours and still no luck. I have a lot of important information which I cant afford to loose. Unfortunately I did not backup the phone recently. Any ideas how I can get this problem resolved.

Regards

this happened to me about last weeek!and ive only had my iPhone for less than 2 months. i activated my iPhone 3GS on VoiceOver (to see what it was) and i obviously tapped something, my iPhone wasn't working for about 6 days until i had the courage to turn it on. The Apple logo came on and so did the lock screen (for about half a second) and then it went blank, i think i used 3 or 2 fingers (try both!) and tapped the screen either 2 or 3 times (try both again) to turn the screen back on. so do all these combinations!
use 3 fingers and tap 3 times
use 3 fingers and tap 2 times
use 2 fingers and tap 3 times
use 2 fingers and tap 2 times
if it does work use random fingers and tap a couple of times. but when you do these combinations, WAIT for each of them as it may take aover 5 seconds for the screen to turn on again. if nothing works I suggest you take it to an Apple store (if you have a warranty)

tell me if it helped!

To all the guys who are having the same problem as me.

I booked an appointment at my local apple store with an apple genius. He restored my phone and after syncing it crashed again. Finally it was diagnosed with a faulty handset. He ordered me a replacement and I finally got a replacement from in a weeks time. Not the best service after I paid £550 pounds for a phone. Also they give you a refurbished phone which is not what you want. My phone was in immaculate condition and only a three months old. I lost all my data which is very frustrating. A friendly reminder to backup your phone as frequently as possible.

So guys forget the random finger trick as it does not work. Your phone is faulty and take it to apple before your warranty runs out.
