Apr 13, 2010 4:29 PM in response to ShadyMacby Pita_bread,I tried both, one is sony earbud and another is panasonic HTX7. Happens when no background music is playing + keypad transition into view. -
Apr 13, 2010 4:33 PM in response to Pita_breadby ShadyMac,Is there any lint or anything in the headphone jack port?? you may want to blow it out to clear it just in case...
I definitely don't hear it on mine I just paid real close attention while keyboard was told to come in and out several times... was in quite room too...
I'd bet on lint in the port or I guess maybe it's already time to do a restore and see if that helps any...might as well choose restore from back up just in case that works for you...that option will be less time consuming -
Apr 13, 2010 7:46 PM in response to ShadyMacby Pita_bread,thanks for the suggestion, I tried the things you mentioned, unfortunately it still produce the subtle pop/click sound. But again i ain't really annoyed by it and iPad works great otherwise. -
Apr 14, 2010 10:15 AM in response to Pita_breadby StevePug2,Oh my goodness. What you're simply hearing, dear user, are the default click sounds accompanying your typing. You can turn this off in Settings under Sounds.
Cheers! -
Apr 14, 2010 10:17 AM in response to StevePug2by Pita_bread,heh, thanks for giving the suggestion, but I am certain it is not the typing clicking sound effect -
Apr 14, 2010 12:19 PM in response to Pita_breadby StevePug2,OK, but that will play through your headphones while you're typing unless you turn it off and you did mention you notice it when the keyboard comes up. On mine there's no click when the keyboard comes up. If you take the keyboard off the screen, it clicks. But whatever it is, it shouldn't be there. So keep checking. There must be an answer for it. -
Apr 14, 2010 1:24 PM in response to StevePug2by iPod Whisperer,I tried this after turning my volume up to maximum. I then went to the search screen all the way to the left and also used the keyboard in some other apps and was not able to hear any clicking sounds other than the normal audio feedback from hitting keys.

Jan 3, 2013 6:18 AM in response to SonicXby alwaystubed,Iphone 5 is doing this. It happens anytime a sound is initiated. Really annoying. It's the on board amp turning on and off. Happens 5 seconds after you stop typing yet leave the keyboard open. Must have been a power saving measure.
