Apr 13, 2010 1:56 AM in response to timboboy09by Kay Marczoch,★HelpfulMake sure to select an appropriate resolution:
either 720 x 576 / 50 Hz when using a PAL TV set
or 720 x 480 / 60 Hz when using a NTSC TV set -
Apr 13, 2010 7:16 PM in response to timboboy09by narsil,For older TV's, the setup can be kind of finicky. I would keep trying different resolutions; only some of them will leave you with the fuzzy/lined/scrolling screen. Also, try unplugging and replugging the adapter from the Mac's side. Sometimes this can randomly fix problems like this. -
Apr 13, 2010 10:37 PM in response to timboboy09by timboboy09,I have tried changing the resolution but the best I get is my screen moving across the television all blurry. Is it because I have the brand Dynex and not an Apple brand adaptor? Please help.... -
Apr 13, 2010 10:41 PM in response to Kay Marczochby timboboy09,I got a slightly better picture by changing it to the lowest resolution at 60Hz... I don't have a PAL compatible tv. -
Apr 14, 2010 12:04 AM in response to timboboy09by Kay Marczoch,If you're now at 720 x 480 that's the best you'll get - older NTSC TV set have got a rather limited display resolution. -

Apr 14, 2010 12:10 AM in response to Kay Marczochby timboboy09,The picture is still VERY unclear, you can't even really make it out. My tv isn't really that old of one, it is an Emmerson manufactured in late 2006... -

Apr 16, 2010 12:28 AM in response to Kay Marczochby timboboy09,I understand that... I am not looking for a high-quality picture, I am just looking for a picture I can even see clearly (even if a little choppy). Right now it is only like a ruined vhs tape with the picture moving across the screen quickly and the image is "fuzzy" and appears to be just black and white -
Apr 16, 2010 7:00 AM in response to timboboy09by Lyssa,★HelpfulYour problem may be a result of the off-brand adapter. I've seen posts by users here with similar troubles, and the ultimate resolution was purchasing an Apple adapter.
