Just passing this along....

The new MacBook Pro's are out...

Curious if anyone has any guesses how many more plug-ins we can use with the core i-7 v i-5?

MBP (early 2008), Mac OS X (10.5.7)

From early benchmarks (generic, not Logic), looks like i7 may be a pretty big improvement.

It's still technically a dual core, but it has hyperthreading and Logic does take advantage of those partial cores. I wouldn't be surprised if these are competitive with the first generation intel quad Mac Pro.
