Sync Notes between iPhone and iPad

Is there anyway to sync notes on my iPad with my iPhone. What I want to do is make list in notes and have them sent to my iPhone to take with me. I have mobileme but I don't see anywhere to sync notes. I didn't want to have to sync through iTunes every time. Can anyone help?

Power Mac G5, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

This is done through iTunes - notes are synced with the Mail.app on your Mac via the iTunes sync process. When syncing notes is selected for each device, notes will be kept synchronized with each device through the Mail.app and the iTunes sync process.

I was hoping not to have to hook it up to my Mac through iTunes. What I wanted to do is make a list using notes on my iPad and then having it show up on my iPhone through WiFi. That is why I was asking about Mobile Me.
