Audio Instrument Track Question

I just bought the Apple certified Logic Pro 7 and Logic Express 7 book. I am loked at the picture on page 12 and i notice that the Audio Instrument Tracks onthe arrangment window have record buttons???

Is this a difference between Logic Pro and express? I only see record buttons on the Audio Tracks in my LE and always have.

If so what do the Pro record Buttons enable.

Hi Ken,
You're right, yes the Pict you have on page 12
is the arrange screen on Pro.
On LE you just have the R button on Audio tracks.
Audio Instruments and midi tracks, record by select the track
and press record on the Transport Bar (window).
This is probably for the sake of simplicity, also on Pro
I know that you can record multiple tracks at once,
I've never ty it on LE (nor have sure if it can be perform or not).
Hope this helps you.

Hi again,

Hmmm, I think it's important to "armed" the record button on audio tracks,
to record and undo it to listen, otherwise it may prevent you from hearing the recorded audio.
As you studying a Martin Sitter book, as I also did and liked, he has a site with Logic tutorials on video, the book's great to pratice the lessons, but the video it's a must to understand Everything within logic Pro/Express on http://www.macprovideo.com/MPV/html/logicPro.html?OVRAW=martin%20sitter&OVKEY=ma rtin%20sitter&OVMTC=standard

Jorge
