Can not remove playlist from phone, other playlists not an option

I have a G3 and I'm having problems with my playlists. Just the regular playlist, not smart ones.
Not all my playlists appear as options under Music tab in iTunes
And not all the playlists that appear on my iPhone are on the are option either, so they can not be removed from the phone.
