LCD scratch repair tips

I thought this would be a a common topic but found little after a forum search... Any recommended products or tips for reducing the visibility of a 2" scratch in my 20" display?

The reason you won't find products or topics about this is because it can't really be accomplished. Most people that try to remove the scratch only end up making a bigger blemish than what was the scratch.

I have heard you can fill the scratch with Vasoline. At least that is a non-destructive thing to try. But as far as trying to polish it out, no, don't try.
