Bookmarks disappeared

Bookmarks disappeared

I have my bookmarks sorted by name in folders.... today when I went to open one all my bookmarks in the Music folder are gone..... all the other bookmarks are okay in the other folders.... I'm puzzled.... can't think of anything I did that would have caused this.... only thought is last night I downloaded iTunes 9..... but how would that affect Safari bookmarks? Any help or ideas as to what happened?

iMac Power PC G5, 1.6 GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

HI,

Have you looked in all the other Bookmark folders you have created just in case? Seriously doubt this is related to the iTunes download. I have accidentally dragged folders and dropped them in another Bookmark folder myself!

Yes, I've done that too.... but this was like 20 bookmarks that disappeared and the folder is still there. I would have had to select all the bookmarks and deleted them....

Hi,

Open System Preferences/Spotlight. Make sure Documents / Folders and Webpages are selected.

If you can remember any of the names of the sites you bookmarked, try a search in Spotlight. Click the Spotlight icon top right in your screen. If you can remember any of the names of the bookmarks, type those in to the search field and press return on your keyboard.

Just might turn something up.
