Mac Pro 2008 memory upgrade, 1Rx8 and 2Rx8
Hi there!
I have bought two second hand (Apple original) 1GB memory modules from a 2008 Mac Pro identical to mine. The two original modules from my machine have the following specs:
1GB 1Rx8 PC2-6400F-555-11
The new ones:
1GB 2Rx8 PC2-6400F-555-11
Is the difference between 1Rx8 and 2Rx8 significant for installation and operation and what does it actually mean? All the modules are manufactured by Hynix.
